The Training Centre first opened its doors in the year 2000.  For 4 years the dream and vision for the Centre was formed in partnership with the church, Lee Albaugh (former resident of Zambia) and the community of Mbala.  The vision was for a place where leaders could be trained for future ministry to the desperate needs of the communities in Zambia's cities and rural areas.  Since that beginning they have trained and graduated 35 ministry students, 50 tailoring students, 75 Life Skills carpentry and approximately 50 Life Skills tailoring students.

The impact from AIDS, malaria, and poverty were heavy on all our hearts.  What was the future for the children and families of Zambia?  It was determined that a difference could be made by creating leaders who could focus on these difficult and overwhelming problems that churches and communities were facing.  With the multiplication of orphans, widows, and families headed by children, the Centre has taken up the challenge, and NESteam International has been a major part of its formation.

Since its beginnings, the Centre has developed work in ministry training, Life Skills programs in Tailoring, Carpentry and is now forming Life Skills programs to combat AIDS, malaria, and other diseases through a Community Health Program.

The Centre is committed to ministry for the spiritual and physical needs of the whole person.  They work in conjunction with the community to build programs that will make the most impact on their lives.  Presently, in addition to their own community programs, they work  with World Vision and RAPIDS program at the local level in Mbala, providing Life Skills training to give hope, and living skills to  orphans and vulnerable children.

The Centre is operated and taught by local Zambian leadership who commit themselves sacrificially to touch lives through servant leadership.  Nearly all the staff and teachers keep orphans in their homes, as well as doing their work in the community.

The  Board of Directors  and staff of the school is made up of Zambian professionals, church leaders, community and government leaders and a member of NESteam International.  They work on a volunteer basis and have backgrounds in public health, business, the church and farming.

The Centre teaches Servant Leadership within the context of Zambia.  Our goal is to be a model for spiritual and physical change in african communities that can give hope, transforming lives.

Sacrificial service from faithful, and trustworthy, Zambian partners has made this Centre possible!
