The Board of the Training Centre in Mbala has taken a step of faith and has partnered with  Gracewell Mwansa to shift part of the ministry of the Centre to a rural location between the towns of Mbala and Mpulungu.  Gracewell is donating 50 hectares to the Centre for the development of our Life Skills programs.  We thank the Lord for this partnership!

From this location we can work with both Mpulungu, on Lake Tanganyika, and Mbala.  Mpulungu is a fishing town with nearly 80,000 people, no resident doctor, and no work with the many orphaned street children.

The new Centre will be located near a village called "Makola" on the only road to Mpulungu.  We have chosen to call the new site "Mapalo Centre", which means grace, or favor, in the local language.  It is our prayer that this will become a haven of rest for those struggling with physical and spiritual battles.

During the April 2007 meeting of the Mbala Christian Leadership Training Centre, it was decided to add a Health Center to our plans for Mapalo!  This will not only serve the local community of Makola Village and school, but also be a training place for health workers in the district of Mpulungu.  Our goal is to implement a Village Health worker program with personal Christian witness.

See Mapalo Centre Plan   for an update on construction!  God is providing!

Florence Mwale is a member of the MCLTC board in Zambia, and also the District Health Officer for Mpulungu District.  She believes God has put her in that place to serve Him!  Pray for her as she coordinates the Health worker program.Florence Mwale and the Mpulungu District Commissioner
